Terms of use and sale

Last updated: 27 October 2026 — the French version prevails in case of discrepancy.

1. Publisher

The rim. app is published by Rim Battal, sole trader (France) — SIRET 103 388 278 00014 — 36 rue du Mont Thabor, 75001 Paris, France — contact@rimbattal.store.
Data hosting: Supabase Inc., servers in Frankfurt (Germany).

2. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the app and the subscription. Creating an account or subscribing means you accept them.

3. The service

rim. is a personal writing space created by the poet and author Rim Battal. It includes:

4. Account

An account is required to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete my account).

5. Subscription

5.1 Offer and price

Access to the app requires an annual subscription. The price, including taxes, is shown in the app before any purchase, in your store's currency.

5.2 No free trial, complimentary access

The app does not offer a free trial: access starts when you subscribe.

Rim Battal may offer free access, for example to people who supported the project. This access is personal: it is tied to the email address provided and is only activated on an account whose address has been confirmed. It cannot be transferred or shared. Its duration is stated when it is granted (unlimited if none is stated).

5.3 Payment and auto-renewal

Payment is taken by Apple or Google from the account linked to your store, when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for another year, at the price in force on the renewal date (see 5.6), unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.

5.4 Cancellation and management

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: you keep access until then. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription: remember to cancel it with your store.

5.5 Refunds and right of withdrawal

Purchases are made through Apple or Google, which handle refund requests under their own terms (reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, Google Play help for Google). By requesting immediate access to the app's digital content, you agree that performance starts before the end of the 14-day legal withdrawal period and waive that right to the extent permitted by law (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).

5.6 Price changes

If the price increases, Apple or Google will notify you and you can cancel before renewal.

6. Events

7. Your content

Your writing belongs to you. It is encrypted on your device and is not read, shared or used by Rim Battal. The encryption key is protected by your password: if you forget and reset your password, entries written before become unreadable (see the privacy policy). We recommend keeping a copy of the texts that matter to you.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its brand, its texts (including Rim Battal's quotes and editorial content) and its design are protected and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Liability and availability

We do our best to keep the app available and reliable but cannot guarantee it will never be interrupted. Rim Battal cannot be held liable for indirect damage or for data loss resulting from a forgotten password.

10. Suspension

In the event of a serious breach of these terms, access to the account may be suspended after a warning, except in an emergency.

11. Store terms

For App Store purchases, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these terms. For Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The version in force is the one published on this page. If the change is significant, you will be told in the app.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, please contact us first at contact@rimbattal.store. Under French consumer law, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge; their contact details are available on request at this address. Failing agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
